Frequently Asked Questions

How is this program funded?
The Martin MPO Vision Zero Action Plan and Program are funded by Federal, State, and Local transportation funds.  The Action Plan and Program will be used to prioritize roadway changes that improve safety as well as education and outreach programs to promote safe travel behavior in Martin County.

What is Vision Zero?
Vision Zero is an approach to transportation safety. It distinguishes itself from traditional road safety approaches by focusing on fatalities and serious injuries and through acknowledgement of human error.
